A Vintage Valentine Supper Club

Back in September I met up with the lovely Sophie Rae from Crumbs magazine, a publication that covers Bristol, Bath and most recently, The Cotswolds, which proudly boasts itself as 'a little slice of foodie heaven'!

We met at a Cotswolds Tweet Meet, a series of networking get togethers run by The Cotswold Concierge, being held at the newly refurbished Dormy House Hotel near Broadway, and got chatting about the supper clubs which are a regular feature of the magazine. And, being rather passionate about what we do, I launched into a long rhetoric about why The Tea Set should be featured!

So, after the exchange of numerous emails the date for the Valentine Supper Club was set for this Monday, 13th January. My very good friend Joanne, helped out with the location, a beautiful Cotswold cottage in the picturesque village of Lower Slaughter, I put together an afternoon tea menu suitable for a Valentine vintage tea and friends came along to sit back and enjoy the afternoon! Sophie brought along her delightful sister, Victoria, and the hugely talented photographer for the day was Kirstie Young

What was so lovely about the whole event was that it was just like sitting with good friends, enjoying the food and relaxing. Sophie, clearly a true professional, put everyone at their ease and just sat and chatted, it wasn't at all like we expected, but she still managed to ask all the relevant questions about me and the business.

The magazine should be out at the end of January/beginning of February in time for Valentines day and I just can't wait to see it! Watch out for the next blog post featuring the 'real' photos!
